We partner with a local delivery service. Orders are collected and sent to the supplier at regular intervals. Once you’ve checked in, you can order food through the Dota-Lan website using your account. Payment should be made at the check-in desk immediately after placing your order. Since the delivery service also handles its regular daily business, delivery times may be longer, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. There’s also a food truck in front of the hall that offers breakfast as well as a wide selection of snacks. If you don’t want to live on fast food alone, there’s both a Rewe and an Edeka in town.

Ice-cold drinks are also available on the premises at reasonable prices.

Don’t worry, there’s plenty of space for everyone to sleep! We have a large dormitory and various other ‘corners’ where you can lie down and rest.

Yes, here are a few options right in Volkmarsen: Restaurant / Guesthouse “Zum Petersberg”: 1.4 km (3 minutes according to Google Maps) Gasthaus Krone: 350 metres (1 minute according to Google Maps) Holiday flat & guesthouse “Erika”: 1.7 km (5 minutes according to Google Maps) Hotel and restaurant “Quellenhof”: 1.6 km (4 minutes according to Google Maps) Also there should be plenty of options via AirBnB.

No, there isn’t! That would be difficult to implement anyway. There will be a LAN single-instance game system, similar to that of the Dota League. Players will be given ratings that adjust based on wins and losses. We hope this will lead to high-quality ‘public’ games.

It’s definitely a 5v5 tournament. We might also organise a 2v2 or 1v1 tournament, but the 5v5 takes priority!

Normally, there’s an option to buy a ticket at the LAN, but it’s first come, first served! Once we’re full, we can’t offer any more places with a PC. The safest option is to buy a ticket in advance. If we’re already sold out before the LAN starts, there’ll be a box office for guest tickets without a PC at most. However, places are limited here too.

Volkmarsen has its own train station. You can either arrange to be picked up there or take an Uber or a taxi. The venue is about 1 kilometre away; if you’re travelling light, you can easily walk there. Just have a look on Google Maps!

Yes, there will be internet access, which you can mainly use for Steam. Any remaining bandwidth will be made available for general use.

It’s a LAN party, so everyone should bring their own cable ;) However, we do have a limited number of LAN cables available to lend out.

If you’re 16 or older, yes, but you’ll need a guardian who’s of legal age and is coming to the LAN party themselves. (The LAN orga cannot act as your guardian!) Just get your parents and your guardian to sign the ‘parental consent form’ and bring it with you to the LAN party. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, this isn’t possible if you’re under 16.

No, of course not. You’re welcome to come on your own – everyone’s welcome.

No, the 5v5 tournament is our main event, though. Other games will be played as well, including board games, card games, football, beer pong and more.

On the first day of the LAN (either Wednesday or Thursday – please check the ticket page for the exact date), doors open at 12 noon! On the final day, everyone must have left by 12 noon. The internet will then be switched off.

Camping is usually no problem. There are a few spots around the hall where you can pitch a tent quite easily. However, it is advisable not to pitch your tent directly on the sports pitch.
